"What inspired or motivated you to start Anytime Pretzel?"

Believe it or not, ever since I was little, I never really liked a lot of sweets. If I had to choose between the two, I would rather have something savory than sweet. Even now, there are only a few times where I

crave just a bite of a cookie or a small piece out of a brownie. I was always the kid that said "no thanks' to a piece of cake after singing Happy Birthday. The only time I would ever say yes, is if the cake was made with whipped cream (frosting and buttercream are my least favorite kind of creams). If you didn't already make the assumption, this applies to cupcakes too!

My love and hate relationship with sweet desserts got me thinking about how I could incorporate a savory aspect to desserts. Although, I've had experience making chocolate covered pretzel rods before Anytime Pretzel, and also seen a few of them made in bakeries, I never really thought that I could make it into a business.

Before Anytime Pretzel, I made pretzels for the month of December for the Christmas holiday. My second thought was, why were pretzel rods mainly made during Christmas? Why can’t they be made for all the other holidays? All events and occasions? This thought led me to my main purpose in business, providing customers with customized chocolate covered pretzel rods for any special occasion. Hence, the name Anytime Pretzel.
